I took Adam and Jennifer on a family history trip through Poland and Germany. I wanted them to see where their grandparents and great grandparents lived before World War II. I hired a guide in Poland who is an expert in locating old documents and other information pertaining to Jews who were lost in the war. He found the apartment building and factory where my husband's father lived worked before he escaped to Russia. He also explained what happened there and where all the events took place. The Nazis changed all the street signs to German and many buildings still had their German titles.
